Traditional lipstick is pigment in wax. It sits on top of the lip, so it moves, transfers and creeps into fine lines.

A stain is different: plant-derived tints in a gel base bond to the surface of the lip in about 10 minutes. You peel the gel away, and the tint stays. There's no layer to bleed, so lines around the mouth stay clean all day.

The gel base is hydrating, so — unlike old-school stains — it doesn't leave lips dry or flaky. Add gloss on top if you want shine.
